My Short Story
I was drawn to the Financial Planning Profession 6 years ago after working in a large organisation in their accounting department, the thing I most enjoyed about that role was having monthly budgeting and forecast meetings with the different business units we looked after.
When an opportunity in Financial Planning came up, it sounded like a role that would allow me to do my favourite part of my old job nearly every day, so I grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
I then discovered that financial planning is much more than catching up with people to talk about their investments, it was about guiding and helping people through some of the biggest stages of their lives, buying their dream homes, putting kids through school, finishing work.
The joy that we are able to bring to people in this role is what keeps me here, and working at WARR HUNT provides me the opportunity to continually help people through these challenging stages of life.
More About Oliver
Oliver commenced with WARR HUNT in March 2023 and joined our advisor development program. In 2025 he progressed to financial advisor position and is part of a team committed to improvement and making a positive difference in clients’ lives.
He thrives on building relationships with clients and works closely with director Sam Hunt guiding people on a financial path to their living their ideal life.
Oliver is originally from country Victoria, playing football at club level. He is a North Melbourne supporter. Now he enjoys training and competing in Triathlons. In 2025 he completed the Gold Coast Marathon in 3hr 30min!
